What’s the Matter?

Judges 18:24 MSG

Micah said, “You took my god, the one I made, and you took my priest. And you marched off! What do I have left? How can you now say, ‘What’s the matter?'”

Micah made idols and hired a priest to run his personal religion. When the men of Dan took his idols and priest, nothing remained. What an empty spiritual condition! An idol is anything that takes God‘s place in a person’s life. Some people invest all their energy in pursuing money, success, possessions, or a career. If these idols are taken away, only an empty shell is left. The only way to protect yourself against such loss is to invest your life in the living God, whom you can never lose.

The condition of those who suffer, those who we left and who still live without hope should be the main concern of all those who are called by the name of God. How can we sit idly by and see people suffer without saying something.

When someone thinks to themselves or even voices out saying “What do I have left” would indicate someone who can’t see past what they know….and someone who hasn’t the ability to look past their self to find what many us know already; that is, without God we don’t have anything anyway.

I just left downtown filing an answer to the lawsuit filed against me. In my own self I can do nothing, but walking with God I have options. God has been proving me and pruning me for a time such as this. If I look at what I can do only, then I would say “what do I have left?” This situation would seem disparaging if God had not taught me to glean long ago through the book of Ruth. I would not know how to seek counsel from someone informed.

How many know that the advice of friends can be the last thing we need sometimes? Friends can encourage but encouragement is not a lawyer or a counselor when we need it; we must seek outside assistance from those who have skill to get it done the way it needs to be done.

Step by step the way it is supposed to be done and when to see it through to the finish…how many know you have a limited amount of time to answer or all will be lost? We must make a move. Yes, God will intervene. Yes, but what are we doing to help ourselves is the question.

Are you ready to fight? says the Lord. Yes, Lord.

Man cannot stop the ordained of God. God has plan A and it is good.

Be encouraged….
