There’s this show I love to watch a show called “Wind at my Back.” The era they live in on this is during a time of depression; 1930The rich kinda stand out but it is the poor or not so well off that are the strong and helping the rich to become over comers. So there they are in this town where everyone knows everybody and this young man who has a passion for the game of chess…needs someone to teach him beyond what he already knows about the game. So there’s this guy who know but he’s been to prison and learned there but the town doesn’t think that a person who has gone to prison really knows his stuff…wow! Because he takes on the town in a match tournament…and wins!

Many times we may feel that the things we’ve done have done us in…that our lives are ruined, but we have much to give to others coming behind us. My topic today is on fear because fear can blind us, paralyze us, and keep us from our destiny. There is someone here today who needs hear this…me being one; so as I minister to you I’m ministering to myself. Perhaps you have come to a new road–one you’ve not traveled and as you stand there gazing down there to end…it frightens you. But how can we deal with it in a positive way and not allow it to hinder our walk?

God has given clear instruction for you man/woman…He anticipated that this would happen that you would be afraid of this new thing He is doing for and through you! Take a look:

You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and sent for from its farthest parts, saying to you, You are my servant, whom I have taken for myself, and whom I have not given up:
Have no fear, for I am with you; do not be looking about in trouble, for I am your God; I will give you strength, yes, I will be your helper; yes, my true right hand will be your support.
Truly, all those who are angry with you will be made low and put to shame: those desiring to do you wrong will come to nothing and never again be seen.
You will make search for your haters but they will not be there; those who make war against you will be as nothing and will come to destruction.
For I, the Lord your God, have taken your right hand in mine, saying to you, Have no fear; I will be your helper.

(Isaiah 41:9-13)

This thing we’re about to take on may be new to us but God planned it that way…He took us from the bondage and slavery of our past…but fear of the unknown land is frightening. There are people who may see nothing about us except the bad that we’ve done, may talk about us and speak evil on us…but fear not God says that He took you out…took us out what does that mean? It means that although it may look like you did it this then and just left…we aren’t that powerful to save ourselves. God did it….

Today: Don’t worry bout the haters….God is with you wherever you go….Fear Not!
